Little Buddies aims to provide a wide range of toys suitable for children from birth to 8 years. However our toys are still quite popular with older children, and those young at heart.
-
Yes! We accept donations of gently used toys to either be absorbed into our collection or sold to raise funds for the library.
-
Children of any age will benefit from the unique experience of choosing their own toys, even if it is only for one or two years. And remember that we cater for children up to 8 years old (and beyond).
-
All members are required to clean toys before returning. If you are concerned please give toys a clean before giving them to your children. We suggest that toys borrowed to be used by young babies be cleaned before initial use.

In line with the policy of Toy Libraries Australia (the umbrella organisation for toy libraries) which states toys “suitable for toy library use” must not require batteries – “except where the toy has good play value without using the battery feature”, this toy library does not stock toys where batteries are required for the main function of the toy.

For the toy library to run smoothly when it is open, we need helpers to assist with the counting & checking of toys. Volunteers also assist with maintenance and repairs and help to pack away everything at the end of each session.
If you volunteer 2 times each year, you receive your volunteer bond back!
We LOVE and NEED the help. If you can’t volunteer when the library is open, we have other tasks throughout the year which can count towards duties, such as repairing or assembling new toys.
